Moraine — snapshot backup over SSH/rsync and rclone
Moraine is a small, fast backup tool written in Rust, with both a graphical desktop program (GTK 4) and a scriptable command line — same engine, same configuration. Every run creates a timestamped snapshot that looks like a complete file tree. But only what actually changed takes new space, thanks to hard links. You get your whole history at almost no extra storage cost, and can restore everything from any point in time, or just a single file. Back up wherever you like: to a NAS or server over SSH/rsync, or to the cloud via rclone — S3, Google Drive, SFTP, FTP, SMB and WebDAV.
