I've been buying and selling on Blocket, Facebook Marketplace and sometimes Tradera for years. It's always hard to know what something is worth, whether you're buying or selling. That's what turned into Begagnatkollen.se

The story behind Begagnatkollen · What's your stuff worth?

Why I built it

I buy and sell a fair amount of second-hand myself, and the hardest part has always been knowing what something is actually worth. You can search around on Blocket, Tradera and Marketplace, but it takes time. I wanted to see if the whole thing could be made a lot simpler.

How it's built

A lot of vibe coding with Claude Code and Codex. The idea is fairly simple from the outside: type in what you have, and the service tries to understand the item, find relevant market signals and give you a reasonable range. Behind that there have been far more edge cases than I expected.

The hardest part

Getting a valuation that actually feels trustworthy. The second-hand market is messy, the same item can be listed at wildly different prices, and just because someone is asking 5,000 kronor doesn't mean it's worth 5,000 kronor.

Up next

Keep making the valuation better, and above all get better at explaining why it lands where it does. I want people to think "yeah, that seems about right" rather than just getting an AI-generated number.

Drygast.nu — a weighing station for election promises

Ahead of the election: two registers. The promise scale shows what each party's election pledges cost. The question scale shows where the parties actually stand on the big issues. The unusual part: the site can neither lie nor be changed on the quiet.
